Beginning in fifth grade, students learn in departmentalized classrooms, “traveling” from classroom to classroom for each subject area.  Every child begins the day with his/her homeroom teacher, and will work with other teachers on the middle school team as they study religion, literature and language arts, mathematics, science and social studies.  Students are provided with Chromebooks, which they are allowed to take home, and the entire school boasts a 1:1 technology to student ratio.  Students are encouraged to complete and submit assignments in Google Classroom and will find homework assignments and projects posted there by their teachers.  Special areas of study include world language, art, music, and physical education.  While technology is not offered as a special class, each teacher instructs on the use of technology in his/her classroom and incorporates it into daily lessons.
